Bear Creek is an 18-hole golf course complete with Driving Range, Practice Area, Pro-Shop, Restaurant and Event Center.

Bear Creek hosts Members, Green Fee Players, Leagues, Socials, Corporate Tournaments, Weddings and Events throughout the year.

 GROUNDS MAINTENANCE STAFF

Are you passionate about the outdoors and maintaining pristine landscapes? Join our team at Bear Creek Golf Club as a Grounds Maintenance Worker and play a vital role in ensuring our golf course maintains its beauty and functionality. As a member of our grounds crew, you’ll work collaboratively to maintain the greens, fairways, and surrounding areas, providing an exceptional experience for our guests.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including mowing, edging, and trimming grass on greens, fairways, tees, and roughs using various landscaping equipment.
  • Maintain bunkers by raking sand, repairing edges, and removing debris to ensure optimal playing conditions.
  • Assist in the installation, repair, and maintenance of irrigation systems, ensuring proper watering and drainage throughout the course.
  • Plant, water, fertilize, and prune trees, shrubs, and flowers to enhance the course’s aesthetic appeal.
  • Operate and maintain grounds equipment such as mowers, tractors, utility vehicles, and hand tools, ensuring proper functionality and safety.
  • Monitor course conditions and report any issues or hazards to the superintendent or management promptly.
  • Assist with special projects, events, and tournaments as needed, providing support to ensure successful execution.
  • Uphold cleanliness and organization in maintenance facilities, equipment storage areas, and workspaces.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations, including proper handling of chemicals and pesticides.
  • Collaborate with other grounds crew members to prioritize tasks and complete daily assignments efficiently.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the superintendent or management.

 Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in landscaping, grounds maintenance, or related field preferred but not required.
  • Knowledge of turf management practices, irrigation systems, and landscaping techniques is beneficial.
  • Ability to operate landscaping equipment safely and effectively, including mowers, trimmers, blowers, and utility vehicles.
  • Physical stamina and strength to perform manual labor tasks in various weather conditions.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and aesthetics.
  • Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by seasonal demands.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to and from work.
  • Must be able to follow directions and work independently

Course Ambassador

Volunteer Position

Job Description:

Are you a passionate golfer with a desire to give back to your community? Join us as a Volunteer Golf Course Ambassador at Bear Creek Golf Club and play a key role in enhancing the experience of our guests. As a Volunteer Ambassador, you will serve as a friendly and knowledgeable point of contact for golfers, assisting with course navigation, providing information, and promoting a positive atmosphere throughout the facility.

Responsibilities:

  • Greet golfers upon arrival and provide a warm welcome to the course.
  • Provide directions and guidance to various course amenities, such as the clubhouse, practice facilities, and restrooms.
  • Answer questions and provide information about course layout, yardages, local rules, and pace of play guidelines.
  • Monitor pace of play on the course and communicate with golfers to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for all players.
  • Act as a liaison between golfers and course staff, relaying feedback, concerns, and requests as needed.
  • Assist with special events, tournaments, and promotions, helping to coordinate activities and ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor at all times, representing the golf course in a positive light.
  • Uphold cleanliness and organization in common areas, including parking lots, cart staging areas, and practice greens.
  • Promote safety awareness among golfers, emphasizing proper etiquette, cart operation, and adherence to course rules.
  • Participate in training sessions and meetings as required to enhance knowledge and skills.

Qualifications:

  • Passion for golf and enthusiasm for sharing your knowledge and love of the game with others.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with diverse groups of people in a friendly and professional manner.
