What if instead of buying only toys, we invested our money in memories?
As every parent has inevitably experienced at some point, the joy of material gifts fades quickly and even the most anticipated toys soon become a chore to clean up. The average child in the developed world owns over 200 toys but only plays with 12 of them on average per day! Even the most exciting video game eventually gets tossed aside.

Why Give Experiences Not Stuff?
Many studies have shown that material possessions do not equal happiness and that experiences are much more intrinsically fulfilling that things.

Additional bonus: you don’t have to find a place to store experiences except in your heart, memory, and maybe in a photo book!

There are a million things you can buy your kids or gift your kids in the hope that it helps them learn and grow, only a few make a real impact – encouraging them to play golf is one!

For a Limited time, get an entire season of Junior Golf at the Grande Prairie region’s coolest course for only $109!

Let the fun and learning begin, with Bear Creek Golf Club

To make it fun to learn the fundamentals of the game, the Learning Centre at the Bear Creek Golf Club uses an easy to use pathway, which consists of TEN levels.

Within each level, are five check points in which Achievement pins may be earned: Putting, Around the Green, Full Swing, Knowledge, and Scoring. Once all five are attained, a Mastered pin is awarded, and the player will advance to the next level. During these 4-day camps it is anticipated that students may advance through more than one level.

Children learn differently than adults therefore need a curriculum that is child friendly, fun, and easy to learn.

Bear Creek has a program designed to answer to this need and provides positive incentives to motivate players to advance through levels.

At each level students will gain knowledge in shot making, etiquette, rules, equipment, and sportsmanship.  Pins will be awarded along the way.

Advancing through the levels will establish the fundamentals to ensure a lifetime of enjoyment in the game.

Children will have the opportunity to learn, practice and challenge levels as they prepare for a future in the great game of golf.

Children wishing to prepare their game for competition can do so once levels 1 through 5 are completed. Advancing through levels 6-10 will provide the skills to successfully compete in tournament play.
